Holiday Gift Guide Day 2 - Room on the Broom Book, App, and Plush

Disclosure - I received a product for review purposes for this post.  Opinions are my own.

It might seem a little strange that I'm including a Halloween Story in my Holiday Gift Guide, but witches are Bid's favorite things ever.

Room on the Broom (written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler) is about a witch, but it's not a traditional Halloween story.  In Room on the Broom, a witch and her cat are happily flying through the sky on a broomstick - until the witch drops her hat, her broom, and her wand.  With each item she drops, the witch finds a new friend that wants to go along for the ride.  The witch is happy to make room on her broomstick, but the cat...not so much.  But when the witch is threatened by a dragon, the cat learns that friends are important, and all the animals team up to save the day.

The book retails for $16.99 hardcover or $6.99 in board book form, and they are available wherever books are sold.

To bring the book to life, there is now an App available from Magic Light Pictures. Room on the Broom Games provides eight imaginative activities that players can interact and explore within, while practicing early learning skills such as counting, creativity and literacy.  The kids think it's super fun.  And it features one of my favorite things is that there are no in App purchases available.

Games Include

Join the stars – Fly through the air and connect all the sparkly stars to find the right image!

Find the hat – The Witch has lost her hat! Is it behind the tree? Help Dog find the hat in the woods.

Windy day collecting game – It’s a windy day and Cat needs help collecting a few things, will you help? Be careful not to miss them!
