Holiday Gift Guide Day 1 - Playmobil PopStars Stage Review and Giveaway!

Disclosure - I received a product for review purposes from Playmobil

If you have a budding pop star in your house, you need to check out today's gift idea - the Playmobil PopStars Stage.

My girls love to make up their own music so I was excited to see what this was all about.  When I opened the box I was a little dismayed.  There were a lot of pieces, and I'm not known for my ability to put things together.  My kids begged me to try, and it was actually a lot easier than it looked.

The directions were all pictures, so pretty soon I had this.

Even if it didn't do anything, my kids would have loved to play pop stars with the included pieces.

But it does do something.   The black box turns the stage into an actual stage.

About -
  • MP3-compatible set allows young pop stars to belt out their favorite lyrics, drum up awesome beats, and wow crowds with radical guitar solos.
  • Just hook up an MP3 player with the enclosed cable and choose your favorite chart topper.
  • The set includes four figures, stage with flashing lights, drum set, two guitars with guitar stands, microphones, two preloaded tunes, built-in speakers, and other accessories.
  • Recommended for ages 4-10

My kids love this.  The only thing that could make it cooler is a built in microphone jack so kids can be the lead singer in the band.  Maybe version 2?

To Buy - The stage has a SRP of $39.99, but you can get it right now on Amazon for just $34.  You can also connect with Playmobil on Facebook for coupons, special offers, and contests.

Like right now, PLAYMOBIL is launching an epic “Battle of the PLAYMOBIL PopStars!” contest where fans can vote for their favorite PLAYMOBIL PopStars! group.  After voting, participants can also submit an applause-worthy name for the band they voted for. Two contestants who submit names that really “rock” will be chosen to receive a $500 shopping spree on www.playmobil.us.
