Novica review and $50 gc giveaway

Disclosure -  I received a product to review from the company. Opinions expressed in this post are strictly my own

A little over a month ago, Novica approached me about doing a review and giveaway of a few of the products on their website.  For those of you not familiar with NOVICA, it's a place where artisans from all over the world sell their work in conjunction with National Geographic.

With Fathers Day coming up, I thought, this will be perfect!  I can do it right before to highlight some great gift ideas for dads.  What I forgot, was that everything had to ship from the country where it is made, and I didn't quite get it in time.  Because Novica is still a great place to shop for Dads, here is my Fathers Day post a week late.

The males in my family are all quite different.  Because of this, I love that you can shop on Novica.com for Gifts by Personality.

I found these for my animal loving dad -

And these for my executive type husband -

Something I love about the site is they now have a curate feature.  You can essentially curate the items on the site and create your own design boards on their curation site.  Think pinterest but for a specific site.

When you order something from Novica, it comes wrapped up in a cute little package with a postcard from the general area where the item was made.   After a lot of deliberation and a little curating, I decided to go with something a little different  .  .  .

The Rustic Witch Iron Statue made from recycled auto parts.

I know it doesn't fit with the items I mentioned earlier, but I have a 4 year old daughter that is obsessed with witches.  And  I knew that when she saw this, something magical would happen.

I was right.

The statue is made from recycled auto parts, and is melded together perfectly to create a hook nose witch.  We have it up all of the time as a decoration on our bookcase, but it would also make a fun Halloween centerpiece.

To Buy - The Rustic Witch was created by Armando Ramirez (Mexico) and currently retails for $29.95 on Novica.com

To Win - Novica is giving one of you a $50 gift card to try out their site.

Open to wherever Novica ships - if you aren't sure if it ship to your area, check out their shipping restrictions here - http://www.novica.com/customerservice/index.cfm?topic=Shipping#3

Wow - you have the "Rustic Witch" Iron Statuette by Armando Ramirez - I adore his truly marvelous and amazing creations made from old metal parts and remnants - I love all 100 of them (his current offerings)

I think I have about 35-40% of his awesome statuettes gathering a little dust on my official Novica Wishlist - in part due to our current lack of non-essentials funds.cash on hand - and partly because I love so many of them I don't know how to to choose just one - or even two, three or four!

With 0ver 500 items on my Novica Wishlist - there are many treasures competing for me to put my money where my heart is! That said:

Armando Ramirez has created so many compelling and delightful metal statuettes celebrating so many aspects of the lives of all of us... His creations are a great place to find unique and exquisitely thoughtful GIFTS for everyone you know!

    Thanks again, Alena.
