Eight plus years ago when my husband and I were dating and talking about getting married, I didn't want to go ring shopping. I was happy to give him some guidelines, but I wanted him to surprise me. All I told him was that I loved silver, simple and princess cut. This was the result.
As I had never been shopping I really had no idea what I liked. I knew that the princess cut was popular and I knew that I loved silver. We were young at the time and money was definitely a concern. I told him that I loved simple partly to save money but mostly because I really thought it was true.
Just because I have never gone ring shopping, I thought it might be fun to window shop online at Kranich's Jewelers. I discovered that I really do love simple and silver. But instead of princess I really like a more classic cut like this Ritani Engagement Ring.
I love the simple elegant style from the top, and the interest and shape from the side.
Another side of me loves the Verragio Parisian Collection that can also be found at Kranich's.
I love the interesting lines and old time charm that this collection offers. In a perfect world I would probably have both rings. The first for my every day wear, and the second for whenever I felt fancy.
To Buy - Kranich's Jewelers was established in York, Pennsylvania, in 1903. Prices vary depending on the piece. I've seen a wide range of prices from $28 and up. They specialize in fine diamond jewelry and engagement rings, timepieces, colored gemstones, gold and platinum jewelry and pearls. They also have a great selection of sports jewelery - including lots of Penn State items. For those of us that don't live in Pennsylvania most of their pieces are available online at Kranichs.com
For more info you can find them on facebook and twitter.
If any of you have had a personal experience with Kranich's Jewelers I would love to hear about it!
