Holiday Gift Guide Day 42 - Hearts for Hearts Girls Review

Kik likes dolls, but she is getting too old for basic baby dolls.  She needs something older and more collectible.  A doll with a unique personality that she can dress and accessorize how she wants.  There are a lot of options out there, but this year I fell in love with the Hearts for Hearts Girls.

Hearts for Hearts Girls is a line of dolls that features 6 girls from different countries. They include Consuelo from Mexico City, Lilian from Belarus, Dell from the Appalachian Mountains of Kentucky, Rahel from Ethiopia, Tipi from Laos and Nahji from India. Even though they are worlds apart in terms of looks and ethnicity each girl is trying to make a difference where she lives.

All of the dolls are 14inch vinyl, and come dressed in clothing reflective of their culture.  The dolls are poseable and have high-quality rooted hair. They also come complete with a small book that tells their story.

We received Nahji for review, and she really is pretty.

Nahji is from India, and her "mission" is to help girls understand the purpose of receiving an education.

Her accessories include
  • Braided purple choker with pearl-like pendant
  • Drop earrings of simulated pearl and emerald
  • Removable beaded pearl headband
  • Golden bangle bracelets
  • Hand tattoo inspired by the henna mendhi of India
  • Purple strap sandals
  • Doll-sized hair comb with hair elastic
  • Girl-sized H4HG power bracelet
  • Beautiful mini storybook about Nahji’s life
  • Jeweled nose piercing
To Buy - Heart for Hearts Girls retail for around $30, and are available for purchase at Target, Toys R US, and Amazon.  One of the things that I love most about the dolls, is that when you purchase a doll, a part of the proceeds are donated to World Vision to help children's causes in that country.

For more fun - here's a little something I found on the website - "Each Hearts For Hearts Doll also comes with a special product code. Once you enter that code and create a user name on the website, you can enjoy all of our online content and activities—for free! If you don’t own a doll or don’t want to register, you can still visit and enjoy parts of our website—but you will be missing out on some of the fun."

For more information, you can find Heart for Heart Girls on facebook.

I received a product to review from the above company or their PR Agency. Opinions expressed in this post are strictly my own - I was not influenced in any way. I received no monetary compensation for this post.
