Holiday Gift Guide Day 30 - Hallmark recordable Storybooks

Christmas is all about traditions and spending time with family.  Every year either on Thanksgiving Day - or the day before if we're going to busy - we set up and decorate our Christmas Tree.  We always  make Christmas Ornaments and Gingerbread Houses.  And then every year on Christmas Eve we read a Christmas Story together, and open 1 present that's under the tree.

Up until last year another tradition we had was driving to my parents house Christmas Eve so we all could be there as a family Christmas Morning.  But last year since we had two kids of our own, and they were too big to hide presents from we spent Christmas at home.

It was nice to do things just ourselves and start our own traditions as a little family, but I did miss having tons of people around Christmas Morning.

A great gift idea for those that can't be with family this year, or those that are looking to start their own traditions, are the Hallmark Recordable Storybooks.  There are some great options in their Christmas Line, including

  • A Charlie Brown Christmas
  • The Night Before Christmas
  • Santa Claus Is Coming to Town
  • Frosty the Snowman

We have the Night Before Christmas book, and it is really cute.

With the books you can actually record yourself reading the story.

After the book is unlocked, all you have to do is turn to the page you want to record and press record.  You then proceed to read - or sing - that page of the story.  When you are done you press stop and the recording will play back to you.  If you are satisfied you can move on, or you can record again.  After the book is recorded, you just switch it back to the locked position, and you have a great Christmas treasure.

The Christmas books this year are really fun because they also play background music.  You can't hear it or change it when recording, but it plays after the fact.

To Buy - Twas the Night Before Christmas and other recordable storybooks are available at Hallmark Gold Crown & other Hallmark retailers. They are a great way to connect families over the Holidays. Or the non-Christmas line would make a great bedtime story for kids anytime of the year.

To Win - One of you is going to win your very own copy of Twas the Night Before Christmas! To Enter complete Any of the Entries on the Rafflecopter form Below.

  1. I love these books! We have this one and the kids' grandparents took turns reading every other page so that they can have a story from them to listen to at night. It keeps getting played even when it isn't Christmas time!
