Holiday Gift Guide Day 3 - Bormioli Rocco Italian Glassware

Holiday Gift Guide Day 3 - Bormioli Rocco Italian Glassware

One of the best and worst things about having a new baby, is that a lot of friends and family members bring over dinner right after you have the baby. It's great because you don't have to cook or decide what to eat, and sometimes you get TASTY  food.  But it's awful because you have to rely on someone else. You never know what time dinner will come (if it comes at all). Your kids might not eat the food, or there might not be enough and you have to cook anyway. You might even end up eating the same thing 3 days in a row.

With 3 kids, I've experienced all of those things and more. One thing that's pretty consistent though is that it's brought over in not very good Tupperware. Right now I have a huge stack of slightly discolored containers sitting on my counter waiting to be taken back to the owners.  Or I always take dinners in containers that can just be thrown away - like washed out cool whip containers.

Even though Tupperware like this can be convenient, it's not very useful or durable.  They can't be frozen.  It develops stains and gets patchy when cooked in the microwave.  And sometimes they develop permanent odors.

A good solution to cheap non-durable Tupperware, are the glass Frigoverre containers from Bormioli Rocco Italian Glassware.

The containers come in either clear with white lids, or fun green, orange, and blue styles.  They are Sans BPA Free and Dishwasher Safe..  The Frigoverre can also withstand temperatures between -4deg F to +158degF.  Which means these containers can pass directly from the freezer to the microwave!

Another fun feature of the Frigoverre Containers, is that it has a reusable label printed right on the container.  This is great for determining how old your leftovers are, or in my case for identifying any "questionable"dinner items.

Another great product from Bormioli Rocco is the Bormioli Rocco Ginevra Glass Cake Plate with Acrylic Dome.

This is a great product for displaying your culinary creations, or prettying things up during any Holiday parties.  I don't know what it is, but food under a dome always looks more special and appetizing.  It even makes our store bought bagels look good.

The bottom glass plate is thick and heavy, and the dome is made of plastic.

To Buy - The Bormioli Rocco Ginevra Glass Cake Plate with Acrylic Dome retails for just $19.99 at Bed Bath & Beyond, and would make a great gift for any entertainer. Or you can purchase a 3 set of the Bormioli Rocco Frigoverre Square Glass Food-Storage Containers for just $30.00 at Target.com.

Disclosure - I received a product to review from the above company or their PR Agency. Opinions expressed in this post are strictly my own - I was not influenced in any way. I received no monetary compensation for this post.
