Max Lucado Hermie's the Common Caterpillar Series

Max Lucado loves words – written, spoken – it does not matter. He loves to craft sentences that are memorable, inspiring and hopefully life-changing. In almost 25 years of writing, more than 100 million products—80 million books—filled with his words have been sold.

Max’s writings have been published in a wide array of formats including adult books, gift books, children’s titles, Bibles, commentaries, calendars and devotionals. He is also the author/creator of “Max Lucado’s Hermie & Friends” brand family, one of the most popular animated DVD series in the marketplace, with more than 5 million units sold to date. His words have also inspired a branded line of greeting cards and gift books for Hallmark/Dayspring that has sold more than 15 million copies since its 2001 debut.  He is currently serving as a contributing editor for Leadership Journal magazine.

A read-to-me reader

Little Hermie and the baby bug garden friends teach little ones about God's love for them.

God loves all of His creatures. Little Hermie explores all of the ways God loves him and his friends in this sweet board book with glitter on the cover.

Hermie:  A Common Caterpillar
Level Two Reader

Hermie and his friend Wormie have always felt common. They don’t have stripes or dots, they aren’t very strong, and they can’t find anything special about themselves. But every time they pray, God tells them that He loves them all the time just as they are and that He isn’t finished with them yet. When Hermie becomes a beautiful butterfly, he realizes just how special God’s plan is for him!

This classic story has been revised for kids to read and enjoy on their own as a Lever 2 Reader.  With fresh new art and a story kids can read themselves, plus this classic story will find a whole new generation of kids who love Hermie and his garden friends.

My Thoughts~!!

I thought these were delightful readers for the young ones to be introduced to!!  The morals are wonderful and each child should know that they are loved, blessed and cherished.  I thought the messages that each book shared are ones that encouraged positive thoughts and actions.

The illustrations were wonderfully depicted.  Each page was awash with colour, making the characters appear charismatic and child-friendly.  The read-to-me readers are only about 10 pages long and are sure to be you and your child's favourites.  The messages are clear and concise and endearing.

I would certainly give these books a five out of five star review, they are more than worth that!!  Their design and their intent are equally merited in positive influence and appealing approach.
