I've been trying to watch what I eat for a while now. Sometimes this is easier said than done.
I'm a teacher and it's so simple to grab something convenient to take for lunches. Convenient is often not that good for you. So, when my wife said that I could try a selection of foods from the 365 Everyday Value line at Whole Foods Market, it sounded like a great idea. I've never had much experience with organic and natural foods before, but I thought it might be a way to find some good foods to take for lunch.
I received a sample of almond butter (which I had never tried), organic applesauce, apple juice, fruit strips, and raisins. I was also able to go to the store to pick up bread, bananas, carrots, and string cheese.
Everything was really good, but my favorites were definitely the bananas and applesauce. The bananas had a ton of flavor and I couldn't believe that the applesauce was unsweetened. I was a little wary of trying the almond butter, but it was really good too. I used it instead of peanut butter for a while and I really enjoyed the flavor. My little girls loved the apple juice and string cheese. I was very impressed with the quality and taste of everything.
If I'm being totally honest, I have to admit that all of the foods had more flavor than the regular varieties I normally buy. Now I just need to stock up!
