Winner Comment #201 - Tylerpants said..I'm a fan on Facebook (Lisa L).
Both of my girls were born in the Spring, so this is the first time I've really ever been pregnant in the summer. It's miserable! My feet are swollen from the heat, and I'm always hot and uncomfortable.
All Summer long I've been looking for ways to cool down. I refuse to wear a swimsuit, so the only options really left to me are sitting around doing nothing, or cool treats. Since I don't really enjoy doing nothing, cool tasty treats have become my method of choice.
When I was contacted about reviewing some of the Unilever brand of dessert products on my blog, I seriously felt like Christmas had come early this year. Since I "have to" review them I figure I can eat as much as I want and be fine. Right?
When I got my coupons in the mail, we went right to our local grocery store. The first stop in the Ice Cream Aisle was Klondike Bars.
I have to admit I had never tried a Klondike Bar, and had no idea what to choose. My first instinct was the new "What the Fudge Brownie," but since I always eat brownies with Ice Cream and I was "reviewing" something new, I had to veto it. I really wanted to try the Mint Chocolate Chop Klondike bar but my girls vetoed that. So we went with the Klondike Reese's.
It was creamy, delicious, and full of Reese's flavor. I loved the combination of peanut butter ice cream with the crunchy outside.
My next stop was the Breyers Ice Cream. They have a new collection of Breyers Blasts that Kik is absolutely in love with. Each flavor features Breyers Ice Cream with mix ins of popular candy and cookie brands - such as Mrs. Fields, Snickers and Whoopers. Kik's absolute favorite kind of ice cream is their new Oreo Chocolate flavor. Imagine rich chocolate ice cream infused with crunchy Oreos. She would get nothing else if we would allow it.
The last stop in the Ice Cream Aisle was in front of the Popsicles. My husband doesn't love chocolate as much as I do so I thought I would let him choose the third product. He choose the new Popsicle Airheads.
To compensate for my "cool off" summer diet he is on a self imposed eat healthier summer diet. He was really excited when he saw that a serving of popsicles has only 100 calories and no fat. Andhe got to eat two of them!
To Buy - I was really excited about the huge selection of Unilever products that we had to choose from in our supermarket. We were able to buy something to make every one of us happy - which is no small feat!
