PlasmaCar Review

One of my girls favorite things to do on a nice summer day is to go out and ride bikes. Because they are so little, they just ride back and forth in front of the house. Which isn't very fun for my husband and I.

We can't go on family bike rides because the girls would get too tired (and neither my husband or I have a bike). And it's not very fun to stand on the sidewalk while they scoot past you over and over again.

One product that has made bike rides a lot more fun this summer is the Plasma Car.

The plasma car is a completely human powered ride on toy!  There are no pedals, no gear, nothing!  All you have to do is move the wheel back and forth and the plasma car propels forward.

My two year old loves it!

Our driveway is slightly inclined and she loves to push off at the top of the driveway and see how long she can keep it going for.  At the bottom of the driveway she has to turn it sharply to avoid going on the road.  But the steering mechanism is so easy that even though she really picks up speed on the way down, she has no problem staying on the sidewalk.

One of my favorite things about the plasma car is that adults can use it too.  There is a weight limit of 220 lbs on a flat surface and 120 lbs on an uneven surface.  It's hard for me to use right now because I don't like bending over with my pregnant belly, but my husband and 20 year old sister ride it all the time.

To Buy - The Plasma Car comes in a variety of colors, and usually retails for $69.  The plasma car is super fun for kids of all ages, and definitely worth the price.  But if you like to look for bargains, I just happened to notice that the Red Plasma Car is available right now on Amazon for just $49!  My family loved their plasma car so much that we had to buy another one so the girls would stop fighting over them!

For more info you can find them on facebook or twitter!

  1. We loved our Plasma car for years... until a neighbor helped us discover that they should NOT be ridden down the hill at speeds exceeding 15 MPH... thanks neighbor kids... "grumble, grumble..."
