Corel® Paint it!™ Giveaway - Closed

Photography has recently become a new family hobby. My 4 year old and I both just got new cameras (well she got my old camera) and we've both become a little picture crazy. She even started her own blog, Child's Eye View, where she could post her pictures.

So when I found out I got to do a review and giveaway of one of Corel's new photography programs, Corel Paint it!, I was really excited. I couldn't wait for another way to have fun with my new hobby.

Corel® Paint it!™ is new computer software that takes any photo and turns it into a work of art. All you have to do is select any photo, and choose a painting style. Paint it! takes the photo and paints a picture, stroke by stroke. We used this photo taken by my daughter and selected to turn it into an Impressionist painting.

10 minutes later, we ended up with this.

How fun is that! The program was really fun to watch and my daughter loved watching her photo turn into a painting right before her eyes. And the best part is, all of the brush strokes are random so you end up with a new painting every time you use the program. Here are a few of my other before and afters

Colored Pencil

Illustration

Modern

Pencil Sketch

and my personal favorite Oil painting

You can't tell because I shrunk down all of the pictures, but the photos are amazingly high quality - perfect for any room decoration. And how cute would this Detailed Watercolor be in my daughter's scrapbook.

The only real downside I found is that the pencil sketches took almost 3 hours to complete. It paints the picture one little tiny mark at a time, so it is understandable, but make sure and give yourself plenty of time if you want to use this feature. Other than that, I really love it!
With how awesome this program is, you're probably wondering where you can get one for yourself.
